Dr. Alan Trites, D.C. is happy to
bring Chiropractic Plus Kinesiology to utilize for your health. CPK is a low-force biofeedback technique that finds the true cause of specific conditions and helps to provide a "no excuse" practice.
As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist currently certified by the American Society of Clinical
Pathologists, Dr. Trites understands many medical practices and procedures. In fact, it was this
knowledge that led him to change his mind and not pursue his medical career and choose chiropractic.
Dr. Trites, who is a firm believer in the proper use of drugs and surgery, has discovered a conservative
approach to health finding the best results possible.
While attending Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO., Dr. Trites was instrumental in
founding the Fraternity of Kinesiologists to mentor, teach, present and increase knowledge of fellow students to kinesiology. Dr. Trites presented more than 50 lectures while in school and presented several lectures to the student body. In addition to learning kinesiology, Dr. Trites also took a large interest in acupuncture. He extended his knowledge with additional seminars and hands-on experience from other professionals who learned acupuncture in China.
Before Dr. Trites attended chiropractic school, he was an avid distance runner competing in numerous road races and marathons. Since his competitive days have ended, he has been an assistant coach for youth runners for one of the most prolific Amateur Athletic Union teams in the past decade, the Brocaw Blazers. Dr. Trites also coaches individuals who want to take up running for a healthier lifestyle regardless if the goal is to finish a 5k or a marathon. As an athlete, he understands the importance of correcting injuries and uncovering the root of pain in an effort to avoid career-inhibiting surgery and unnecessary medications. Also, he understands the importance of nutrition and its role in helping athletes recover quickly and to a competitive level.
Dr. Trites' combination of chiropractic and medical knowledge creates a well-rounded doctor who works toward helping his patients achieve an optimum level of
health. To assure his patients are getting the most recent and sound advice, Dr.
Trites is currently completing his post-graduate certification through the
American Board of Chiropractic Internists, one of six diplomat programs offered
by the American Chiropractic Council known as DABCI's. Currently,
there are about 200 DABCI's in the U.S. and serve as true primary care providers
performing laboratory, cardiovascular, nutritional and numerous physical
examinations to provide a balanced natural choice to health. In
addition to the DABCI program Dr. Trites will be completing certification as a
Chiropractic Sports Physician and diplomat status in nutrition and homeopathy.
